The Morehead Honors College offers two scholarships for graduating high school seniors: the Foundation Fellowship, the most prestigious undergraduate scholarship at UGA, and the CURO Honors Scholarship, the university’s top undergraduate research scholarship.
The Foundation Fellowship
- Typically 30 offers each year
- Must apply for the scholarship through the Morehead Honors College/Foundation Fellowship application by November 1
- A record of strong academic achievement and a history of accomplishment and leadership in co-curricular activities

The CURO Honors Scholarship
- An interest in undergraduate research
- Typically 10 offers each year
- Must apply for the scholarship by January 15. Interested applicants must have completed their UGA application before they can complete the CURO Honors Scholarship application
- Students from groups underrepresented in research are specifically encouraged to apply—this includes students from ethnic and racial minorities, students with financial need, students from rural areas, first-generation students, and students who anticipate working in underrepresented research disciplines
