The William Crane Scholars program—focused on current Honors students who display outstanding leadership—is jointly administered by the Morehead Honors College and Engagement, Leadership and Service at UGA. The scholarship offers a $1,500 annual award, renewable for one additional academic year.
Candidates will be rising third-year Honors students (by semester attended, not credit hours) who have displayed outstanding leadership and involvement on campus and maintain at least a 3.7 cumulative UGA GPA. Recipients of the Foundation Fellowship or Bradley-Turner Scholarship are not eligible.
The scholarship is named in honor of William Moore Crane, a 1921 UGA graduate who was influential in the founding of the UGA Alumni Society.
Applications typically open mid-spring semester, and are due in early April. When the 2026 application is available, it will be announced on the Honors listserv.
