The Foundation Fellowship is UGA’s most prestigious undergraduate scholarship program. It provides a stipend that approximates the annual cost of attendance, plus special grants for travel-study and research. Foundation Fellows also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of additional enrichment activities, such as seminars with UGA and visiting faculty.
Each year the Morehead Honors College awards a small number of Mid-Term Foundation Fellowships to Honors students. These academic scholarships are for the two final years of undergraduate study at the University of Georgia. They include a stipend, travel-study grants, research and conference grants, and a variety of academic enrichment opportunities.
Third-semester Honors students with a minimum 3.85 cumulative (UGA) GPA and two years of undergraduate study remaining after the following spring semester are eligible to apply. The GPA requirement is not negotiable.
The Mid-Term Foundation Fellowship recipients are also nominated each year as “walk-on” Stamps Scholars.
Each year’s competition is announced via the Morehead Honors College listserv in the fall, and the new application is then available online. The application deadline falls in early January.
Second-year Honors students may request access to the Mid-Term Foundation Fellowship Application after August 1 by emailing [email protected].
