The Foundation Fellowship is UGA’s most prestigious undergraduate scholarship program. It provides a stipend that approximates the annual cost of attendance, plus special grants for travel-study and research. Foundation Fellows also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of additional enrichment activities, such as seminars with UGA and visiting faculty.
Each year the Morehead Honors College awards a small number of Mid-Term Foundation Fellowships to Honors students. These academic scholarships are for the two final years of undergraduate study at the University of Georgia. They include a stipend, travel-study grants, research and conference grants, and a variety of academic enrichment opportunities.
Third-semester Honors students with a minimum 3.85 cumulative (UGA) GPA and two years of undergraduate study remaining after the following spring semester are eligible to apply. The GPA requirement is not negotiable.
The Mid-Term Foundation Fellowship recipients are also nominated each year as “walk-on” Stamps Scholars.
Second-year Honors students should watch for listserv announcements regarding access to the Mid-Term Foundation Fellowship Application, which will open in early September. The application deadline falls in early January.
