Renee Kopcha oversees recruitment and enrollment for the Morehead Honors College, managing admissions for prospective Honors students including Honors information sessions, first-year entry, first-semester entry, and transfer applications.
Renee was born in Rhode Island and holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Boston University, a master’s degree in education from the University of New England, and an educational leadership certificate from Georgia Southern University.
Prior to joining the University of Georgia, she held various roles in both public and private K–12 education, including teacher, curriculum facilitator, and administrator. Most recently, she served as director of curriculum, instruction, and student support at Double Helix STEAM School in Athens, where she led admissions, directed curriculum and instructional initiatives, provided comprehensive student support, and fostered family engagement.
