Honors 1990H colloquia seminars are focused on topics of special interest to a faculty member’s research and teaching. They are designed to introduce you to a topic while encouraging intellectual curiosity and interdisciplinary approaches, allowing you to investigate advanced subjects outside of your declared major.
Honors seminars are offered on a wide variety of topics and vary per semester. In the past, many Honors seminars have been discussion-driven with professors assigning one or two readings a week and using that as a springboard for conversation.
These one-hour seminars are graded on a pass/fail grading system.
