Morgan McGrath, a senior Honors computer science major, had a very busy summer: She completed a prestigious internship with NASA’s Electrical Test Team at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
During her internship, she learned about the hardware of the Artemis II spaceship, and even got to flip the same switches as the astronauts to turn the spacecraft on! Morgan also had the honor of meeting Christina Koch, a NASA astronaut who is currently training for the Artemis II mission and served as flight engineer on the International Space Station for Expedition 59, 60, and 61.
After graduating in December, Morgan plans to continue her work at the Kennedy Space Center and has accepted a full-time position with NASA. She will be making software tools for the space center and will act as a subject matter expert on tests related to software.
