Maria de Rocher serves as the assistant dean and director of student engagement and programming for the Morehead Honors College, managing programming for Honors students and funding to support experiential learning opportunities such as study abroad, internships, and service. She also serves as the campus U.S. Student Fulbright Program Adviser.
Maria was born in Las Vegas, NV, and has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from San Francisco State University. Prior to coming to UGA, she worked with law students for four years at the University of California, Berkeley Law’s Death Penalty Clinic. She joined Honors in 2008 and earned a Master of Public Administration from UGA in 2016.
