Lunchbox Lecture with Dr. Santanu Chatterjee

Join us for an Honors Lunchbox Lecture on Thursday, November 10 with Dr. Santanu Chatterjee, Associate Dean for Diversity, International, and Master’s Programs and Dr. Harold A. Black Distinguished Professor of Economics in the Terry College of Business. He will be presenting “Social Influences and Decision-Making.”
In this talk, Dr. Chatterjee will review some recent advances in behavioral economics on how fairness, gratitude, and random acts of kindness influence our decision-making and well-being.
Dr. Chatterjee serves as the Director of Terry College’s Full-Time MBA and MS Business Analytics programs. Prior to joining UGA’s Economics Department in 2001, he earned his PhD from the University of Washington. Dr. Chatterjee is a three-time winner of the Economics Department’s George P. Swift Teaching Award, the Hough O. Nourse MBA Teacher of the Year Award, the Outstanding Faculty Award for Teaching from the Terry College of Business, and the Josiah Meigs Distinguished Professorship from the University of Georgia. He has been a visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund, the University of California at Berkeley, and the University of Hamburg in Germany, and is currently serving on the Editorial Boards for Economic Inquiry and the Journal of Macroeconomics.
The lecture will be held on November 10 from 12:30-1:20pm in 102 Moore Hall. Please make sure to arrive on time. Attendance is limited to the first 28 students who RSVP. Lunch from Barberitos is provided.
