Lunch & Learn about UGA’s Special Collections Libraries
February 8, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
REGISTRATION REQUIRED – Sign up via the Honors Network
Join us for a field-trip Honors Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, February 8 from 12:00-1:30. An information session and exclusive tour will be led by Instruction and Community Engagement Librarian Kathryn Manis and Exhibition Coordinator Jan Levinson Hebbard.
For this special on-location visit to the Richard B. Russell Building Special Collections Libraries, Kathryn Manis and Jan Levinson Hebbard will discuss all things Special Collections, answer your burning questions about UGA’s most exciting archives, and guide Honors students on a tour of the Special Collections vault and galleries, including the new Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library exhibit. Opened in 2012, the Special Collections Libraries’ mission is to acquire, organize, preserve, and provide access to unique and rare materials related to the history and culture of Georgia.
Rather than meeting in Moore Hall, students will receive their lunch from Barberitos at the event start time in the Special Collections Libraries building. Information about the specific meeting room for food pickup will be sent to all registrants ahead of the session.
To register, sign up on the Honors network under “Events.” The Honors network student login page is here: https://honors.uga.edu/network
