High School Applicants

The application for current high school students will be open Dec. 1 to Jan. 15.

The Honors Program seeks applicants with a strong balance of academic achievement in challenging curricula supported by success on either the SAT or ACT. Students will not be notified of their Honors decision until a UGA Undergraduate Admissions decision has been determined.

All accepted students must complete an electronic enrollment form. Failure to submit the enrollment form by May 1 will result in forfeiture of the student’s place in the new class of Honors students.

The Honors Program offers two ways for acceptance:

1. Automatic Acceptance
Approximately 10-15% of the students admitted to UGA though the Early Action application process will be offered automatic acceptance into Honors. Offers of automatic acceptance are based on high school grade point average, curriculum, and SAT or ACT scores. Notification of automatic acceptance will be emailed and mailed to students after UGA Undergraduate Admissions has released Early Action decisions.

2. Honors Application
Students not automatically accepted to the Honors Program must complete an Honors application to be considered for Honors Program acceptance. The application for current high school students will open Dec. 1. The application deadline is Jan. 15 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Notification will be emailed and mailed to students after UGA Undergraduate Admissions has released Regular Decision acceptances. Access the Honors Program First-Year Application here.
