Rachel McDaniel is the assistant director of development at the Jere W. Morehead Honors College. She has worked in higher education for more than 10 years with experience in event planning and development. At the Honors College, Rachel works in the Development Office to carry out the day-to-day responsibilities including event planning, stewardship, donor and alumni relations, engagement, and the Morehead Honors College Ambassadors.

Rachel started her career at UGA a few weeks after graduating in 2012, beginning at the Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership. She later moved to UGA’s Graduate School where she managed events and development responsibilities.

Rachel is a UGA graduate with a degree in public relations from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication and a minor in English. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in nonprofit management and leadership in UGA’s School of Social Work.
