The Honors Program at the University of Georgia is campus-wide, serving students in all undergraduate majors and providing the benefits of a small liberal arts college nestled within a Research 1 university. Through early registration, small class sizes, a dedicated residence hall, internship programs, travel-study funding, research opportunities, service organizations, academic advising, professional development, faculty connections, external scholarship support, and alumni networks, the Honors Program opens doors to the best the university has to offer.

An overview of the 2018-2019 first-year class is available at Honors Program Statistics.

Honors Program requirements
In order for students to be initially considered academically competitive for Honors consideration, they must have:

  • At least a 3.70 weighted high school GPA, as recalculated by Undergraduate Admissions upon review of a student’s high school transcript
  • At least a 1440 SAT-R (ERW+M) or a 31 ACT (E/M average)
  • Challenged themselves in the classroom within the curriculum their high school offers

Application Process
