Outstanding Honors Student in Education

This award recognizes the outstanding Honors student in education. Criteria for selection include grade point average and academic achievement. Selection is made by the Mary Frances Early College of Education Faculty Awards Committee.

Major: Early Childhood Education
Hometown: Farmingdale, NJ

Activities/Honors: Graduating summa cum laude, President's List, UGA Classic Scholar, recipient of the Honors International Scholars Program travel stipend, the Anne Frances McMullan Scholarship, and the Del Jones Memorial Scholarship, featured as a 2020 Amazing Student, and awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant position

What I like most about the Honors Program: The Honors Program has offered me a network of resources. Through the program, I've had access to scholarships and advisement that I might not have received otherwise. It has been a great support system.

Why I chose my major(s): I look at education as a way to make a difference in society. Teachers in the classroom are able to have an impact on their students' lives, and I want to join them in shaping the younger generations.

Post-graduation plans: I will be continuing my education at UGA by completing my Masters in Early Childhood Education this fall.
