Honors 1000H - intro to Honors
The HONS 1000H course serves as an introduction to the Honors Program and is required for all first-year Honors students during their first semester. The course introduces students to campus life by surveying university and Honors philosophy, policies, and procedures. It explores the range of events and services offered on campus. It also serves as a forum in which students can ask questions and share experiences with fellow university students, faculty, and mentors. The course promotes the establishment of a shared experience and sense of community. Students develop a portfolio that will serve as a planning document and will aid in the development of applications and other academic/professional documents in the future. HONS 1000H students are required to create a profile in the online Honors Network, fill in two additional pieces of information specific to HONS 1000H, and upload their portfolio. See Honors Network Tips for HONS 1000H Students for details.
